Nestled in a premium Gray d’Albion residence, we created The Grand Basis Oasis, transforming a muted french apartment into a memorable, cinematic escape. Not a yacht, not a rooftop – a world of colour, warmth, adventure and worldly charm.
The Challenge
Basis is at Cannes to connect with customers and prospects. These are hyper-scheduled guests who have seen it all – from villa parties to panel-packed beaches. They are invited to a lot, and will prioritise well-curated experiences that accelerate genuine business or put them in a room with peers.
The challenge lies in competing for their time.
Our solution? Create an experience like no other, full of unexpected and delightful moments that encourage guests to stay a little longer, explore, unwind and connect.

Inspired by the world of Wes Anderson, we brought in rich colours, retro textures and hotel-inspired signage to create The Grand Basis Oasis; a space with a distinct visual signature and playful interactions found nowhere else at Lions.
From the in-house martini bar, to personalised swag, to custom wall panelling that literally transformed the space – every detail was intentionally designed to delight. Our on-site chef catered for daily curated lunches, while panels and podcasts brought together thought leaders in an intimate recording setting, back-of-house.


Impact
Across five days, the apartment was a Basis business hub – elevated and effortlessly cool, and feeling more like a step back into mid-century nostalgia than a boardroom.
